- One way your leadership team may be more interested or invested in your proposal is if your intervention has the potential to affect patient outcomes or hospital initiatives (such as, infection rates). What initiative could you connect your proposal to for your facility?
- Translation science refers to the investigation of methods, interventions, as well as variables affecting its adoption by individuals and organizations in order to create clinical improvement together with improved health decisions (Rousseau & Gunia 2016). Strategies include testing the effects of interventions on EBP promotion and adoption. Translation studies include describing promoters and barriers to knowledge use and consumption, attitudes towards EBP and defining scientific field structures. Moreover, EBP is important simply because it serves the purpose of providing effective care with an aim of improving patient outcomes. Patients anticipate receiving the best care with reference to evidence based practice; hence, it is important to critically evaluate it before implementation.
- In the professional field of providing care, there is always a need to share information concerning various issues about care and improving practices. Hence, when one decides to share information about EBP results, they generally aim to help others learn new things or create an environment that will improve patient outcomes during healthcare delivery (Barnes-Daly & Ely, 2018). This information dissemination about changes usually occurs internally and externally from a health care facility or medical organization. In order to choose what method of disseminating information one may use, they have to evaluate the kind of audience they want to reach. This is because when one chooses a better mode of dissemination, their target group will decipher the message well and create a meaningful interaction. The most appropriate mode of dissemination of Evidenced change proposal internally to the hospital board is the use of face-to-face communication. This is because it allows one to gauge administration support and get instant feedback on the subject (Kueny, 2015).
